Dear comrades,
on behalf of our whole Party, the Communist Front (Italy), we send the Presidium and the delegates of the 8th Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea our warmest militant greetings.
Your Congress is convened at a time, when the general crisis of capitalism, accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic, on the one hand further worsens the workers and the peoples’ life conditions in all capitalist countries, and, on the other hand, shows the inability of the rotting capitalism to cope with the emergency and insure the people’s health. Decades of cuts of public healthcare budgets and privatizations in order to raise funds in support for capital led to this tragic situation.
The overall crisis does not change the nature of imperialism. It increases inter-imperialist competition, imperialism aggressiveness, and the risk of war.
In this context, the superiority of socialism is clearly proved by facts. Without overthrowing capitalism and establishing socialism, it is impossible to guarantee peace and the people’s wellbeing, including their health.
Therefore, we highly appreciate the action of the WPK and its will to further lead the DPRK ahead on the path of socialist development. This task requires the ability to face and overcome all the challenges of our time with no compromises, nor hesitation, including the strengthening of the country’s defense capacity against imperialist threats.
We are sure, dear comrades, your 8th Congress will be a further step forwards in this direction. While expressing our full solidarity, we wish your Congress and personally the Secretary General of the WPK, comrade Kim Jong Un, a fruitful work and new successes in socialist construction.
