Dear comrades,
On behalf of the militants of the Communist Front of Italy we send you a fraternal greeting on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the reconstitution of your Party.
In recent years, the international situation has been marked by a general worsening of the working and living conditions of the working class and the popular strata all over the world, as a result of the sharpening of the capitalist crisis. The generalized economic conflict between declining imperialist powers and blocs and emerging ones has become significantly more serious, leading to wars of an increasingly less “regional” nature that risk degenerating into a world war with the use of atomic weapons.
We witness this in the dangerous escalation of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine between the imperialist US-EU-NATO bloc on the one hand and capitalist Russia on the other hand. In the Middle East, the criminal violence by the Israeli army and settlers against Palestinian civilians, women and children in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank is a deliberate genocide of the Palestinian people, to which the terrorist Israeli aggression against the Lebanese and Syrian peoples is added. In these crimes against humanity the fascist and Zionist government of the Israeli occupying state is openly supported, mainly but not only, by the USA with the complicity of the EU. In both these areas there is a strong risk of the conflict widening and involving other powers, not only local ones. In addition to these slaughters of peoples, there are several other hotbeds of conflict, from Africa to the Korean peninsula and the Indo-Pacific area, where dangerous tensions are evident between the local allies of the USA-EU-NATO bloc with China, Russia and the DPRK.
Far from being a factor of peace and stability, the “multipolarity” that Russia and China have made a banner of is already a reality that hides the claim for a new division of the world by the emerging imperialist powers against the declining ones, which, in order to face the capitalist crisis and international competition, do not hesitate to resort to war. In general, the ideological pressure against the communists by the bourgeoisie intensifies: the bourgeois propaganda concept of a “peaceful multipolar world” serves to lure the proletariat under the banner of its exploiters to be massacred physically, socially and politically. Conversely, in our opinion as communists, the weapons must be turned against our exploiters.
The powerful propaganda apparatus of imperialism is today re-proposing reformism, opportunism and historical and ideological revisionism in new forms, since the old social democracy has lost all credibility in the eyes of the proletariat and the popular strata. The irrational positions of postmodern identity theories, systematically promoted by the media controlled by the financial oligarchy and widely metabolized by a left that has lost all ideological autonomy, also bear witness to the ideological pressure that bourgeois propaganda tries to exert on the proletariat. By leveraging the natural opposition to gender oppression, racism, fascism, etc., they deny the universality and pre-eminence of the class struggle and are actually aimed at fragmenting the protest against social hardship into a thousand separate streams. Placing stress on identity based on gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, territorial affiliation, national sovereignty, etc., without any class approach, is aimed at undermining the class struggle by the misleading and false perception of alleged common interests between the oppressed and the oppressors.
The challenges that the capitalist crisis places before us require further theoretical and political efforts to understand, through the Marxist-Leninist scientific method of analysis, the laws of development and the contradictions of capitalism in this stage in order to exploit them for creating a revolutionary situation. The era of imperialism which we are living in is also the era of proletarian revolution. There can be no definitive success in the struggle against imperialism without the victory of the socialist revolution and this success is closely linked to the construction and strengthening of the Communist Party in every single country on solid Marxist-Leninist, revolutionary theoretical foundations that are impenetrable to the ideology of the class enemy. To that end, we believe it is extremely important to increase collaboration and coordination between sister communist parties, in the spirit of proletarian internationalism. The efforts of the
Communist Front of Italy, despite full awareness of our current weakness, and -we are sure- also those of the Communist Party of Mexico are aimed at this goal.
Dear comrades, in these years we have appreciated the ideological consistency and commitment of your Party, your capability to mobilize the working class, the peasants, the native people, the working women and the migrants, your courageous and relentless struggle, at home against your national bourgeoisie, and within the international communist movement against the opportunist positions on imperialist war and on “market socialism” or “21st century socialism”, as well as against both old and new social democracy. The struggle that you, dear comrades, have fought for the reconstitution of the PCM on revolutionary and consistently Marxist-Leninist bases is not over. Ideological vigilance must remain high, so that what was defeated 30 years ago can never return. The struggle must intensify to battle the opportunist, reformist and revisionist tendencies, as well as old and new social-democracy, but further efforts must be made also to fight against the right and left identity theories that deny the class struggle and against any new disrupting and liquidatory tendency that the bourgeois propaganda apparatus invents from time to time.
On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the reconstitution of the Communist Party of Mexico, we wish you, dear comrades, new and ever greater successes in the strengthening of the Party and in our common revolutionary struggle for the emancipation of the proletariat, for socialism-communism.
