Italy lacks a real left. We are not talking about the PD or its appendices, but the party that millions of working men and women, the young, the unemployed, the students, all the oppressed need. What we are proposing to build today is a modern communist party, up to the times, that can be a real political force of reference in the face of the crisis and the winds of war.
Challenging the temporary and objective condition of being in the minority, putting all our enthusiasm into play with the ambition to speak to millions, without ever giving up the goal of the revolutionary transformation of society.
We do not need the cyclical electoral alchemy of a ‘civic’ left that has renounced its popular and workers’ roots. We need to really roll up our sleeves and be open to collective confrontation to overcome irrelevance.
With the necessary timeframe and modalities that will be decided together, we declare ourselves available to take part in a path of discussion and confrontation to unravel a fundamental knot: how to give life to a regrouping process that leads to the constitution of the party we all need.
