To the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Ecuador
Dear Comrades,
On behalf of the Central Committee and all the members of the Communist Front of Italy, we extend to you our warmest comradely greetings on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of your Party’s founding.
This important anniversary takes place at a time marked by the deepening of capitalism’s structural crisis and the intense international tensions arising from it. Faced with escalating competition over natural resources, trade routes, markets, and spheres of geopolitical influence, the imperialist powers resort to war, which is an inherent outcome of the capitalist mode of production. These tensions cannot be resolved within the framework of the existing order, as history has demonstrated, at a terrible cost in human lives. The theaters of war in Ukraine and the Middle East, as well as the aggression against Venezuela and Socialist Cuba, conflicts in the Sahel and tensions in the South China Sea, are not isolated episodes but manifestations of this systemic tendency: they are pieces of the same imperialist confrontation that is dragging the world toward a generalized conflict. Only the conscious, international action of the working class and its vanguard Parties can constitute a real bulwark against the barbarism of imperialist war.
One hundred years ago, the Communist Parties were founded around the world in the heat of the struggle against opportunism, revisionism, and social-chauvinism — following the path charted by the Great October Revolution and the Communist International founded by Lenin. Today, in the wake of the temporary success of counter-revolution in the Soviet Union, and in the context of the bourgeois ideological offensive aimed at liquidating the revolutionary legacy of the international communist movement, the historical task of communists, under the banner of Marxism-Leninism, remains more urgent than ever. The defence and application of this theoretical heritage are not an academic exercise: they are an indispensable condition for the reconstruction of a genuinely revolutionary communist movement capable of leading the working class to power. In this spirit, we are confident that the coming period will offer new opportunities to advance the collaboration between our Parties.
Dear comrades, as we salute the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of Ecuador, we send you our best wishes for the continued strengthening of your Party and every success in our common struggle for socialism-communism.
Long Live Socialism-Communism!
Long Live Proletarian Internationalism!
Proletarians of all Countries Unite!
