The fascist Israeli government is intensifying repression of the Communist Party of Israel and the coalition of which it is part, the Democratic Front for Peace and Equality (Hadash). Judicial reports and arrests of militants and leaders, violence by police and settlers, searches and assaults on the party’s branches, and several interrogations the local party’s secretary, comrade Reem Hazan, has been subjected to, have been followed in recent days by the closure by the Israeli police of the party’s headquarters in Haifa, where a Palestinian movie on the Israeli army’s military operations in the West Bank was supposed to be shown.
These violent acts of repression prove the openly fascist, terroristic and anti-popular nature of the Israeli government. It is no coincidence that they attack the communists and those forces who, inside Israel, in addition to opposing with great firmness and courage the ongoing genocide in Palestine, the criminal policy of illegitimate occupation of Arab-Palestinian lands and the internal apartheid regime, are fighting strenuously for the affirmation of the rights of all proletarians and all peoples regardless their nationality or religious belief, against the theocratic dictatorship of Israeli and foreign capital, against the exploitative plans being pursued in this area by the Israeli, US and European monopolies within the framework of the more general confrontation between imperialist powers which, in addition to the US-EU-NATO bloc, involves also Russia, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Iran and the reactionary monarchies of the Persian Gulf, with China in the role of the “stone guest”. Maybe our disgusting lackeys of imperialism and Zionism will have the bad taste to accuse Israeli communists and democrats of “anti-Semitism” as well!
Zionism and the criminal racist and extermination policies it practices and justifies on the ideological level with a purported “right to self-defense” are a particular form of fascism. Like fascism, they are a product of capitalism, generated by the monopolies’ intentions of robbery and exploitation, in the given case mainly against the Arab and Palestinian population, but also against proletarians of Jewish culture. Strengthening the class struggle in the direction of the overthrow of the Israeli bourgeois state and the opposition to the well known robbery plans of Euro-Atlantic imperialism to the detriment of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, its territorial waters and the West Bank, is the only way that, interacting with the Palestinian resistance, can contribute decisively to the formation of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state and the overcoming of a serious crisis factor in this area.
We condemn the persecution of Israel’s communists and anti-Zionist democrats who oppose the criminal and genocidal policies of the Israeli bourgeois state. We express our full solidarity with the Communist Party of Israel with the wish for its increasing and more effective coordination with the Palestinian resistance for the overthrow of the power of the Zionist bourgeoisie, the common oppressor of the Israeli proletariat and the Palestinian people.
We reaffirm our commitment to developing mobilization in Italy against all forms of our country’s complicity with the Zionist Israeli state, especially against further supplies of armaments, used for the extermination of the Palestinian people for the profits of the Italian, European and US military industrial complex and monopolies, despite the hypocritical declarations of the respective governments.
